When
Being the lead designer in the AppEx team meant that I had to juggle multiple projects, sometimes with tight deadlines. I also needed to work with domain teams to ensure design consistency across the journeys.
One of my first tasks was to refresh the look and feel of the home screen. It hadn't had much love so had neglected.
With the menu images being powered by an API, it made total sense to create a Figma plugin to help the design team use the correct images. I worked with a developer to create this and add functionality that remains an integral part of the design toolkit at Nando's.
Nando's developed their own platform for fulfilling deliveries. I worked with the team to deliver the designs,
One of the biggest pain points of the current app was that users had to use a webview to log in. This created a lot of problems which resulted in negative reviews. We worked quickly to bring make these journeys native.
I had to understand what the new flows would be. We were going to be introducing MFA with these flows, so it was important to understand the nuances of these new experiences for new and existing users.
Keeping the customers up-to-date on their order status
When I joined, the design team was using Sketch and the files weren't int he best shape. I was instrumental in making the switch to Figma and created a design library to help the design team to create faster.
I refreshed the look and feel of the settings screen to bring it more in-line with the look and feel of the newer home screen.I also added in a country toggle, to replace the confusing country buttons on the previous design.
